Veterinary surgeon from Melbourne University. PhD London on immune complexes and glomerulonephritis. Postdoc NIH on MHC, discovered gd TCR in the mouse. Currently, Lab Head, Immunology Division, Walter & Eliza Hall Institute, working on type 1 diabetes, with focus on local immunosuppression in islet allo- and xeno-transplantation and the role of dendritic cells in transplantation and vaccines.
