Yongsoo Park

Prof. Yongsoo Park was born in 1960 in the city of Daegu, Korea. He is currently an academic member of the Div. of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Department of Internal Medicine, College of Medicine, Hanyang University, Korea, since the year 1996. He has worked as an adjunct Professor at Department of Bioengineering, College of Engineering, Hanyang University. He was awarded a Bachelor of Medicine from Seoul National U, Seoul in 1986, a Master in Medicine from Seoul National U, Seoul in 1990 and a PhD from the same university in 1996. He moved to USA in 1994 to do a clinical research fellowship at the Epidemiology Department at the Langos Diabetes Center, U of Pittsburgh. He also joined the diabetes immunology research team at Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes, U of Colorado in 1997-1999. During his career he earned several grants, published more than 50 peer reviewed manuscripts and case reports, several editorials and book chapters. He also had more than 30 international and national presentations at conferences, earned more than 6 awards at the state and national levels.
